Hello EL families! The district will be hosting several nights February through May to support you and your student in the Boone County Schools. Most events are right here at Collins and Jones Middle School! There are opportunities from Engligh classes, healthcare resources, understanding US schools, and early learning workshops! Join us for Messy Science Night at Collins Elementary on January 27th from 5:30–7:30 PM for an evening packed with pizza, amazing chemical reactions, and hands-on science fun! The Kentucky Science Center is bringing excitement for families to explore chemistry through five interactive science stations designed for curious kids and families.

Scan the QR code on the flyer sent home or complete the RSVP section and return it to school with your student.
Come hungry, come curious, and ready to make a mess! Please register by January 20th . Space is limited to 100 student participants, so don’t wait! We can’t wait to see you for a night of science and family fun!
Parents and guardians, we still need your help!
Your ideas help us plan fun and useful programs at the Collins Family Resource Center. Because of parent feedback, we were able to create things like Pokémon Club, Science Night, and Family Paint Night.
Please take a few minutes to fill out our Google Form. Your answers will help us know how to better support your child and your family.
Complete the survey by December 31, 2025, and your family will be entered into a drawing for one of four $20 Kroger gift cards. Only one survey per family. To be entered in the drawing, please make sure to include your name on the survey.

GO Pantry provided 45 Winter Break food boxes to help address increased food needs for Collins families over break. If you're interested in picking up a box for your family, please complete the Google Form below.
Once you complete the form you can stop by the office to pick up your box. Families must pick up boxes from Collins Elementary school before December 18th. Boxes can be picked from the Main Office Monday - Friday.

Don't forget our Family Literacy Night is Tuesday, December 9th from 5:30–7:00 PM at Collins Elementary!
We’ll have pizza, crafts, puppet making, a puppet show, free books for students, and even a special visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus. It’s a completely free evening for your family to enjoy together.
Be sure to sign up using the link below or complete the paper registration form that was sent home with your student. Please register by December 8th so we can make sure we have plenty of pizza, supplies, and seats saved for your family.
