Tomorrow, Saturday, September 12 Collins families are invited to the African Heritage Festival from 11:00-6:00 at 179 Dell St., Elsmere, KY.
Come learn, explore, and celebrate African culture through free demonstrations and activities featuring food, music, art, and more! It’s a FREE event and a great opportunity for families to experience and learn about another culture together.

This safe and easy fundraiser is 100% online so there is no face-to-face selling, collecting money, or delivering products. Your child will receive a prize just for participating, and more prizes will be awarded when goals are reached.

Our Collins Attendance Stars are shining bright!
Everyday your student is at school is an opportunity to learn, grow, connect with peers!
Earlier this week, we celebrated some of our students through our bi-weekly Attendance Star Drawing! Students who are present on a random day that week have the opportunity to receive a special treat, be recognized for making attendance a priority and be entered into the end of year grand prize drawing!

The FRC has begun receiving donations of bread to provide to families. You may pick up any bread from the tote outside of the main office. Feel free to take as much bread as your family can use. Be sure to close the tote securely after you have taken your bread
Child care is open enroll now! We are excited to continue our partnership with Champions to provide before and after school care for our students and families. Asia Dodson is the Site Director and will be working with families this year. We are hosting a night to assist families in applying for childcare subsidy to help with the cost on September 23rd! Big Smiles Mobile Dentistry will be returning to Collins Elementary November 9–18!
Big Smiles provides a mobile dental clinic that allows students to receive dental care right here at school, helping families avoid missed school days and making it easier for students to receive the dental care they need.
Big Smiles accepts most major insurance plans, Medicaid, and self-pay. They also offer grant opportunities that may allow students to receive services at no cost for qualifying families.
Students will be bringing home enrollment flyers next week, but families can also register online now using the link below.
The attached flyer includes additional information about Big Smiles, the services they provide, and what to expect during your student’s visit.

Partnering with SUN Programs: USDA's Summer Nutrition Program for Kids, Boone County Schools will offer children free meals at various sites throughout the summer, regardless of enrollment in Boone County Schools.
Steeplechase Elementary: June 8-26, breakfast from 9:00am-9:30am, and lunch from 11:50am-12:30pm.
Ockerman Middle School: July 13-17, breakfast from 8:45am-9:45am, and lunch from 11:45am-12:45pm.
Florence Elementary: June 8-July 15, breakfast from 8:45am-9:45am, and lunch from 12:00pm-12:45pm.
Collins Elementary: June 8-25 and July 6-23, breakfast from 8:30am-9:30am, and lunch from 11:30am-12:15pm.
